Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 has been confirmed, releasing in July

Just a few short days ago, Minecraft: Story Mode Season 2 was revealed to have been approved by the Australian Classification Board, but now Mojang has stepped forward to confirm that Telltale will be continuing the series. Episode 1, which is titled "Hero in Residence" will launch later this summer on July 11th and continues the story of Jesse.
Here's a brief description of the setup via Mojang:
As a simple treasure hunt goes wrong, trapping Jesse’s hand in a cursed prismarine gauntlet, we discover that maybe there are other downsides to fame, too - like having a dark and ancient power know your name.
A new adventure beckons, sending Jesse on a quest to the darkest depths of the world - and beyond! Joined by a motley band of familiar faces, fortune hunters, sometime enemies and one deeply disobedient llama, there will be tough choices, peril aplenty and no shortage of People Who Will Remember That.
As with other Telltale series, your decisions from Season 1 will factor into certain outcomes within Season 2, but you can just as well jump right in if you so choose. Telltale will also be debuting a new feature called "Crowd Play," which lets any of your friends who are not playing the game to "direct the action from any online mobile device."
Minecraft: Story Mode: Season 2 - Episode 1: Hero in Residence releases on July 11th, 2017 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Mac, iOS, and Android.
